British Council Taiwan is looking for an Hourly Paid Teacher to join their team. The position offers a competitive rate of NT$950 per hour and is located at various teaching centres in Xinyi, Shipai, Songshan, and Linkou.
As a teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality language lessons tailored to diverse learner needs while maintaining British Council standards. This includes monitoring progress, providing feedback, and encouraging learner autonomy. Professional development is encouraged to ensure excellence in teaching.
In addition to teaching, the role involves contributing to course improvement, attending meetings, and assisting with marketing activities. Building strong relationships with customers and colleagues is essential to promote UK cultural relations and intercultural interactions.
Applicants must have a Cambridge CELTA or Trinity Certificate TESOL, an undergraduate degree in any discipline, and a high proficiency in English (CEFR C2 level). Relevant teaching experience with different age groups is required, along with a commitment to compliance with policies on safeguarding, data protection, equality, diversity, and inclusion, as well as health and safety.
Desirable qualifications include a Cambridge DELTA, Trinity Diploma, PGCE/B.Ed., or a certificate in English Language Teaching to Young Learners extension. The work schedule typically includes Saturday and (or) Sunday mornings, with the possibility of weekday and weekend afternoon/evening classes.
