Valor International Scholars (VIS) in Anseong, South Korea is searching for a Computer Science Teacher. The position reports to the STEM Department Head.
The ideal candidate will teach various subjects such as AP Cybersecurity, AP Computer Science, Engineering Design & Analysis, Maker Space Program, and extracurricular STEM/engineering programs to students in Grades 6-12. They should be comfortable working with both introductory and advanced learners.
The teacher at VIS must create a Kingdom-minded educational environment where students can grow and reach their academic potential. They will plan engaging lessons, use effective teaching methods, hands-on projects, and technology-based learning to enhance students' academic abilities.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree, completed a teacher licensure program in an English-speaking country, or have at least five years of teaching experience in the relevant subject area. They should integrate a Biblical worldview into their teaching, demonstrate professional integrity, and be positive role models for students.
The successful candidate will be proficient in teaching coding, cybersecurity concepts, engineering design, robotics, prototyping, maker-space tools, and project-based STEM learning. They will contribute to the development of VIS’s computer science and engineering program.
