IELTS / ESL Instructor Needed in Uzbekistan (On-Site) – Smart English Official
Smart English Official, a private education center in Marhamat, Andijan Province, Uzbekistan, is hiring 1–2 IELTS / ESL instructors for an on-site teaching position starting late May / June 2026.
We are looking for teachers who:
have at least 1 year of teaching experience
have a minimum C1 level of English
can provide proof of English proficiency
are professional, responsible, and open to living in Uzbekistan
Important: This is not a position for IELTS teaching only. Teachers should expect to teach general English to both children and adults, in addition to IELTS preparation, since many students in Uzbekistan study general English first and then continue toward IELTS.
IELTS teaching experience is preferred, but candidates who are willing to learn how to teach IELTS are also welcome.
We offer:
Up to 700 USD/month
Accommodation support
One free lunch per day
Friendly working environment
Peaceful town lifestyle
Important notes:
This is not an online position
Preferred contract length is 1 year
Applicants who wish to come for only 3 months may also apply, but must handle their own visa arrangements
Utilities such as gas, electricity, and water are paid by the employee
Accommodation may be shared depending on staffing needs
Marhamat is a quiet and peaceful town, not a large modern city, so this position may suit someone who enjoys a calm lifestyle and wants a cultural experience in Uzbekistan.

Please mention that you found the job on Teast for the school's reference.
📌 Please review the requirements to teach English in Uzbekistan before you start applying for teaching positions. If the job post specifies "NES" or "Native English Speaker", it typically means applicants are required to be from one of the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. However, in some cases, this may indicate a preference rather than a strict requirement.
⏳ Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.
⚠️ When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
