Meritton British International School in Chiang Mai is seeking a dedicated School Librarian to join our team starting in August 2026. The successful candidate will earn at least ฿52,000 per month on a full-time basis.
As a School Librarian, your primary responsibility will be to manage and develop our school library, making it an exciting and welcoming environment where students are encouraged to read, learn, and explore ideas. Your role will involve supporting literacy activities, organizing engaging library sessions, and helping students become confident, independent learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize the school library.
- Encourage students to read regularly and enjoy books.
- Create attractive displays and reading spaces.
- Support teachers with library resources.
- Lead fun library and reading activities.
- Help students develop independent learning and research skills.
- Assist with school events and activities.
- Support after-school clubs and enrichment opportunities.
We are looking for candidates who are friendly, confident, and approachable, organized and proactive, creative and full of ideas, passionate about books and children’s learning, comfortable using technology and digital tools, team players with a positive mindset, and excited to work in an international school community.
Requirements:
- Experience in library management and working with schools and children.
- Knowledge of children’s literature and resources to support the curriculum.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent command of English, with native-level fluency preferred.
