Norwich International School Bangkok, located in Samut Sakhon, is seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic Secondary Chinese Teacher (Head) to join our team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of at least ฿50,000 per month and is set to begin in August.
As the Head of the Secondary Chinese Department, you will be responsible for leading the development of our Chinese language program and delivering high-quality instruction to our secondary students. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Chinese, Education, or a related field, along with a recognized teaching qualification or license. Proven experience in teaching Chinese at the secondary level is essential, and familiarity with the Cambridge Secondary curriculum is preferred. Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme and leading a department or coordinating a Chinese program is highly desirable. Additionally, the ability to prepare students for the HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) examinations is an advantage.
Key responsibilities include teaching Chinese to secondary students, developing and enhancing the Chinese curriculum, designing learning resources and assessments, mentoring teaching staff, and collaborating with school leadership and parents. The role also involves actively participating in school events and professional development.
