NIVA American International School in Bangkok is seeking qualified and experienced educators to fill immediate teaching positions due to increased enrollment. We are looking for Secondary ELA, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Science teachers, with a preference for those who can teach multiple subjects. The positions are available for both middle and high school levels and follow an American curriculum aligned with Common Core standards.
Job Requirements:
- Language proficiency in American English is essential, demonstrated through an interview. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in an academic English environment and be committed to teaching pronunciation to students.
- A minimum of two years of full-time teaching experience is required, preferably within an American curriculum or U.S.-accredited schools.
- A strong understanding of Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and skills in MAP/NWEA data analysis to implement instructional interventions for student improvement are essential.
- A degree in an educational field is required. A valid teaching license is preferred, though candidates with non-education degrees can be considered if they commit to obtaining a Thai or International teaching qualification and a Thai Teaching License.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary starts at 60,000 THB per month, commensurate with credentials and experience.
- 8-10 weeks of paid holidays per year.
- Medical insurance and retirement benefits through a Provident Fund.
Professional Expectations:
- Approximately 24 teaching periods per week, with each period lasting 45 minutes.
- Responsibilities include homeroom supervision and classroom management.
- Attendance at meetings and school functions is mandatory.
