Maitreya Dharma School in Chiang Mai is seeking a dedicated and innovative Secondary Homeroom Teacher for Year 7. The school is located in the serene Mae Taeng valley and aims to nurture a compassionate next generation equipped with wisdom and skills for the future. The educational approach is holistic, focusing on inner stability, wisdom, project-based learning, and meaningful connections with nature.
The ideal candidate will be a native English speaker who is experienced and qualified, with a passion for project-based and outdoor experiential learning. The role involves working closely with a Chinese co-teacher to support a small group of Year 7 students aged 11 to 15. Responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons in subjects such as English and Maths, using inquiry-based and interactive methods.
Candidates should be enthusiastic about natural living and outdoor education, with strong skills in facilitating hands-on learning and creating dynamic, student-centered lessons. Experience or interest in Buddhism, meditation, and Dharma education is highly valued. A Bachelor’s degree and an internationally recognized teaching qualification are required.
