HeadStart International School, located in Phuket, is seeking a Mandarin First Language Teacher to join their team at the Chaofah campus starting in August 2025. The school, accredited by The Education Development Trust, is known for its quality education and integration of the national curriculum of England with Cambridge & Pearson qualifications.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from a recognized university, a teaching qualification, and experience teaching Mandarin in a secondary school, preferably in an international setting. Fluency in English is necessary for instructional and administrative tasks.

The remuneration package includes a competitive salary, medical insurance, accommodation allowance, flight allowance, and more. There are significant end-of-contract bonuses, a three-year renewable contract, and extra payment for extracurricular activities. Additionally, free lunch and beverages are provided on school days.
Interested candidates should download the application form from the provided link and submit it via email to recruting@headstartphuket.com with 'Mandarin First Language Teacher Application' in the subject line. Early applications are recommended as the school reserves the right to appoint before the 28th of March 2025 deadline. All applicants must undergo a satisfactory enhanced criminal record check. Candidates lacking a degree and recognized teaching qualification will not be considered.

Please mention that you found the job on Teast for the school's reference.
Please review the requirements to teach English in Thailand before you start applying for teaching positions. If the job post specifies "NES" or "Native English Speaker", it typically means applicants are required to be from one of the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. However, in some cases, this may indicate a preference rather than a strict requirement.
Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.
When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
