Job Description:

NIVA American International School in Bangkok is seeking qualified candidates for three immediate openings. We are a WASC-accredited American international school catering to students from Nursery through Grade 12. We are currently hiring for the following positions:

Position 1: Music & Art Teacher (Elementary and Secondary School)
This role combines music and visual arts teaching. Responsibilities include serving as the staff accompanist for performances, leading the school choir program, teaching guitar, and instructing in drawing, painting, and mixed-media art. The ideal candidate will support student exhibitions and arts-related events. Qualifications include strong piano proficiency, experience with choir programs, guitar teaching ability, and demonstrated visual arts skills. A Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Fine Arts, Arts Education, or a related field is required. An artistic portfolio is encouraged.

Position 2: Temporary Kindergarten Teacher
This temporary position will cover approximately two months (August - September 2026). The role involves managing a Kindergarten classroom during a faculty leave. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, with preferred experience in early childhood or Kindergarten teaching. The ability to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment is essential.

Position 3: Librarian (Elementary and Secondary School)
The Librarian will support information literacy, student research, and the promotion of reading. Responsibilities include managing library circulation, cataloguing, acquisitions, inventory, and coordinating textbook distribution. A Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Education, English, or a related field is required. School library experience is preferred.

General Requirements for All Positions:
- Proficiency in American English
- Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience preferred
- Familiarity with Common Core State Standards (CCSS)
- Eligible and willing to obtain a Thai Teaching License

Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary starts at 40,000+ THB per month, based on qualifications and experience
- Approximately six weeks of paid holiday per year
- Medical Insurance and Provident Fund

Rigorous safeguarding, background, and reference checks will be conducted for all successful candidates.
