Primary English Teacher – Hanoi

The Japanese International School in Hanoi is seeking a dedicated Primary English Teacher to deliver high-quality English as a Foreign Language (EFL) instruction to students in Years 1–6. This position involves teaching the Cambridge Primary curriculum at a well-established international school. We are looking for a reflective, student-centered educator eager to work within a diverse and international community.

About Hanoi:

Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam, is renowned for its rich history, vibrant street life, and convenient access to both mountains and the coast. It has a large, active ESL teaching community with numerous international schools and language centers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Teach EFL to students in Years 1–6, aligning lessons with the Cambridge Primary curriculum.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate various learning styles and language levels.
- Assess and monitor student progress in English, providing feedback and additional support as needed.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to integrate English language learning throughout the curriculum.

Curriculum Development & Collaboration:

- Participate in curriculum planning and development to meet school goals.
- Contribute to events and exhibitions showcasing student learning.
- Work with colleagues to enhance teaching programs and resources.

Professional Development & School Community:

- Engage actively in the school’s continuous professional development (CPD) program.
- Stay updated with best practices in teaching EFL to young learners.
- Involve yourself in school activities, staff meetings, and parent-teacher conferences.

Requirements:

- At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably with primary-aged learners.

- Experience with or interest in the Cambridge Primary curriculum.
- Strong classroom management skills and commitment to professional development.
