Maitreya Dharma School, located in Chiang Mai, is currently seeking a dedicated, passionate, and innovative Secondary Homeroom Teacher for Year 7 students. This full-time position offers a salary starting at ฿35,000 per month.

In the age of Artificial Intelligence, our educational framework focuses on the holistic development of our students' minds, hearts, and future capabilities. The valley setting serves as a natural classroom, offering real-world learning experiences and grounding students in nature.
We are looking for a native English-speaking educator who is experienced, qualified, and enjoys project-based, inquiry-based, and outdoor experiential learning. The successful candidate will collaborate with a Chinese co-teacher to lead a small group of Year 7 students. The ideal teacher will bring youthful energy, positivity, and an innovative perspective on education. A strong interest in natural living, outdoor education, and potentially Buddhism or Dharma education is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lessons in subjects such as English and Math, integrated with project-based and inquiry-based learning.
- Lead hands-on activities, collaborative projects, and outdoor learning.
- Guide students in phenomenon-based learning through practical exploration and real-world discovery.
- Create lively and dynamic lessons beyond textbook instruction.
- Collaborate closely with a Chinese co-teacher to support students’ holistic development academically, emotionally, socially, and mindfully.
Preferred Qualities:
- Energetic and enthusiastic with a passion for natural living and outdoor education.
- Skilled in facilitating hands-on learning and designing interactive activities.
- Able to integrate interdisciplinary approaches into teaching.
- Interest in or experience with Buddhism, meditation, and/or Dharma education is a plus.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- An internationally recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, US teaching license, BEd).
- Native English speaker with excellent communication skills.
- Experience teaching secondary students.
- Willingness to commit long-term (minimum one year or more).
