I’m Jon, the current Head Teacher of TNL Hagwon located in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul! I’ve worked with the company since 2018, and we have an available English Teacher position that begins Monday, February 28, 2022.
You’ll be working on a close-knit team of 5 English Teachers and teaching small classes of energetic students ages 6-12 (with no more than 10 students per class). As a homeroom teacher for a fresh class of 6 year olds, you’ll teach several 40-minute classes per day using our textbook curriculum. Friendly Korean staff is available for support, but you'll have creative control of the classroom without co-teachers. We are looking for a friendly team-player with strong classroom management, clear communication skills, and a creative touch to join our staff!

2. PRIMARY DUTIES:
•Teach core English subjects like reading, phonics, and conversation in addition to special subjects taught in English, such as art, science, basic elementary math, etc.
•Teach elementary school English subjects like reading, grammar, and writing
•Prepare lessons based on our textbook curriculum and monthly plans
•Check homework and prepare monthly class materials, such as quizzes, vocabulary packets, lesson packets for special courses, or assessments
•Write progress reports for kindergarten and elementary students
•Help out with preparing for special events by decorating, making set pieces, or participating in skits, songs, or dances
•Assist homeroom kindergarten students with unpacking in the morning, then packing up in the afternoon when they leave
•Assist Korean and English Teachers in serving lunch (homestyle Korean lunch provided daily for staff)
•4 year degree and 120 Hour TOEFL/TESOL certificate
•Currently living in Korea and eligible for E2 visa
