Job Description:
The English Program at Assumption College Primary School (Bangkok) is seeking qualified, primary school teachers from native English speaking countries to join our friendly, supportive and professional team.
Established since 2002, the strength of our English Program is that our students follow the Cambridge International School curriculum, alongside their Thai subjects. Our students develop excellent English language skills, ‘21st Century skills’ and knowledge of western culture, while also keeping their Thai language, culture and manners. The positions available are:
1. Grade 2-3 Primary Homeroom (2 positions, 1 in each grade)
These teachers will teach 19 periods, including English, Mathematics, Science and Health, to their own homeroom class. They will also be responsible for looking after the welfare of the students in their class.
2. Grade 4-6 Primary English (3 positions, 1 in each grade)
These teachers will teach a total of 19 periods. They will specialize in teaching English across 2 classes in the same grade (12 periods), as well as teaching Health (2 periods), Global Perspectives (2 periods) and Reading/Spelling (3 periods). They are also responsible for looking after the welfare of the students in their own homeroom class.
Applicants should have an ability to inspire young children and be a positive team player. All applicants must have a degree in education or a post graduate teaching certificate (PGCE or equivalent).
The positions are available to start from Friday, 1st April 2022.
The initial contract will be until the end of March 2023 and, subject to performance, the contract will be extended for an additional twelve months from that time.
The successful applicants will receive a monthly salary of 83,000 Baht, end of year bonus, health insurance and approximately ten weeks paid holiday. EP class sizes are 20 students in Grade 1 and 25 students in Grades 2-6.
