Chulalongkorn University Demonstration Secondary School (CUD) is seeking energetic and passionate teachers who are looking for a long-term career opportunity to become a part of the English Program. CUD also looks for applicants with positive-minded, creative and a strong understanding of modern student-centered teaching practices. CUD is offering Science classes taught in English which follow The Basic Education Core Curriculum B.E. 2551 (A.D. 2008)
1 position available: EP Biology Teacher
1 position available: EP Mathematics Teacher
Mathematics specialised in Algebra, Geometry, Functions, Statistics,
Probability or Calculus (Grades 7-12)
Teach General Science Grades 7-9
Teach Biology Grades 10-12
Qualifications:
1. Native Speakers of English (RP/GA): UK, US, AUS, NZ, Canada,
Western Europe or South Africa.
2. Hold a valid non-b, non-o, or tourist visa.
3. Bachelor’s Degree in teaching biology, or in biology.
4. Have at least 1 year teaching experience.
5. Have a teaching license issued by Teachers’ Council of Thailand, or have been granted a temporary teaching permit from Teachers’ Council of Thailand of not more than 2 times. A teaching license from another country is a plus.
6. Hard worker who views teaching as a profession.
Duties:
1. Homeroom teacher duties:7.30-8.30 am., and 3.30-4.00 pm.
2. Take part and assist in all school activities, sometimes on weekends.
3. 19 periods per week (50 minutes per period) with approx. 30-35 students per
class.
4. Work with a partner/co-teacher (Thai nationality).
5. Prepare teaching materials, design worksheets and exams, mark
homework. Write lesson plans.
Details and Benefits:
1. Salary of ฿71,000 a month net before tax, and social security deduction
2. School lunch
3. 3 personal leave days, 30 sick leave days (A medical report for sick leave exceeding 3 consecutive days is required.), and 6 vacation leave days only after 1 year of working.
4. During School holidays from April to May, teachers are required to sign in every day.
A criminal record check is required once the contract is complete.
All university degrees will be validated by CUD contacting your university directly. (Fake degrees will be reported).
