Job Description:

Maitreya Dharma School in Chiang Mai is looking for a dedicated and passionate Upper Primary Homeroom Teacher to join our unique, homeschool-style project. Located in the serene area of Nam Phrae, Hang Dong, our curriculum combines contemporary educational methods with Dharma-based objectives to foster the social, emotional, and spiritual growth of children.

We are seeking an experienced, fully qualified native English-speaking teacher who thrives on project-based, inquiry-based, and outdoor learning. The successful candidate will collaborate with a Chinese co-teacher, initially working with a small group of students. We value self-motivation, creativity, and a strong commitment to educational excellence.

The position is set to begin in January 2026, with the potential for an earlier start date.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Internationally recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, US teaching license, BEd)
- At least five years of experience teaching primary and/or middle school children
- Interest in or experience with Buddhism, meditation, and/or Dharma education
- Native English speaker with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A commitment to working for the benefit of others

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM
Salary: Starting at 70,000 THB per month (dependent on qualifications and experience)
