Job Description:
●Direct hire● SEOUL, Mapo-gu center, near Hongdae, MBC and DMC - kindy/elementary
SEOUL, Mapo-gu center, around MBC and Digital Media City station, 15mins bus ride to Hongdae and Yonsei areas.
We're an established English language academy in Mapo-gu, looking for one more native teacher to start on March 2nd, 2023.
There are currently 3 native English teachers, happy to share their work experiences with successful applicants.
A complete (North-American kindergarten-based) curriculum and all materials and lesson plans are provided, and our coordinators train new teachers before starting, and support them throughout the year.
Each kindergarten class has a Korean bilingual co-teacher.
Our systematic, but flexible curriculum with age-appropriate goals has allowed us to cultivate a low- stress, relaxed and friendly atmosphere appreciated not only by all our teachers, but also by our students and their parents.
Our accounting team makes sure all contracts are up to date and aligned with Korean Labor law standards, and everyone is always paid in full and on time.
The specific details for the position are as follows:
Start date: March 2nd, 2023
Students: Kindergarten - elementary
Work hours: Mon-Fri 9:30 - 6:00, daily prep and break times included. Actual teaching starts at 9:50.
Free lunch is provided.
Salary: 2.4 - 2.8 million won per month, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Housing: Single studio close to school
OR a housing allowance of 500,000w (key money assistance negotiable)
Benefits:

2. severance pay at the end of a one-year contract,

4. 11 days of paid vacation (goes up to 15 days in the second year of contract)

Qualifications:
1. Must be a native English speaker with an apostilled 4-year university degree (required for E2 visa), obtained at one of the 7 countries where English is the official language.
2 . Must have an apostilled police background check, as required for E2 visa.
3. Outgoing personality and prior experience in an English kindergarten in Korea considered an asset.
5. *Teaching certification or a TEFL/TESL certificate an asset.
