Elementary English Teacher Opportunity at Sejong International Academy

Sejong International Academy (SIA) is seeking dynamic and experienced Elementary English Teachers to join our dedicated team in Unyang, Gimpo, part of the greater Seoul metropolitan area. This is a full-time position starting on February 23, 2026, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., including a one-hour break.

SIA is a private international-style school offering a unique curriculum that integrates the Korean National Curriculum, U.S. Common Core standards, and convergence education. We serve students from kindergarten to grade 9, focusing on student well-being, competency development, and global leadership.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to elementary students.
- Develop and align lesson plans with school curriculum and learning objectives.
- Foster a supportive, student-centered classroom environment.
- Organize and lead student activities and projects.
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct parent conferences and maintain regular communication with families.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events and meetings.

Requirements:
- Valid F visa or eligibility for an E-2 teaching visa in South Korea.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience at the elementary level.
- Recognized bachelor’s degree, with education or a related field preferred.
- Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills.
- Ability to design engaging, student-centered English lessons.
- Professional communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Genuine passion for education and student development.

Salary and Benefits:
- Salary negotiable, starting from 2.5 million KRW per month, based on experience and education.
- Housing provided in Seoul or Han River New Town area, or a monthly housing allowance of 400,000 KRW.

Gimpo, located in Gyeonggi-do, is a rapidly developing city near Seoul with excellent public transport connections. Many teachers choose to live in Seoul or the Han River New Town area and commute to school, enjoying modern amenities, cafes, parks, and the cultural, dining, and entertainment options of central Seoul.

Visa and Work Permit Information:
Foreign teachers generally work under an E-2 visa or hold a long-term residence visa such as an F-series visa. Requirements include a recognized bachelor’s degree, a criminal background check with apostille or notarization, a health check upon arrival in Korea, and passport validity for the contract period. This position requires candidates who already hold an F visa or are eligible for an E-2 visa.
