Job Description:

A small private international school in Ilsan, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, is seeking a native English speaker or Korean teacher to serve as the main STEM teacher for elementary to high school students.

Position: STEM Teacher

Starting date: August 2026

Location: Ilsan, Goyang-si (Seoul Metro Line 3)

Salary: 2.7~2.8 million KRW per month (full-time)

Hours: 9AM-5PM (Monday to Friday)

Age group: Elementary to High school

Subjects: Elementary Science, Elementary Math, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and either Biology, Chemistry, or Physics (depending on major)

Small class sizes with approximately 10 students per class

Housing: Apartment provided (20 minutes from school by bus) or 500,000won monthly housing allowance without deposit for full-time teachers

Medical Insurance and Pension (50% provided)

Paid vacation: 10 days plus Korean national holidays

Contract period: 1 year with severance pay of one month's salary

Benefits include 50% National Pension & 50% Health Insurance

Candidates must be citizens of one of the 7 Native English Speaking Countries or Korean citizens with strong English proficiency (CEFR C1 Level / TOEFL 95 / TOEIC 800).

Preference given to candidates currently in South Korea

Degree/major and teacher's character are crucial in the selection process

Documents required for visa preparation include Passport with visa page, Diploma with Apostille Seal, Scan of degrees or certifications, Domestic federal criminal background check with apostille seal, 120-hour TEFL/TESOL or domestic teacher's certification, Alien Registration Card (front and back) for candidates living in Korea, and Sealed university transcripts.

Preference is given to certified teachers and applicants already in South Korea.
