Job Description:

Substitute Chemistry Teacher

International School Eastern Seaboard (ISE) is in immediate need of a qualified and dedicated substitute Chemistry teacher. This temporary position involves providing high-quality instruction to middle and/or high school students in alignment with the school’s curriculum standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver engaging and clear chemistry lessons according to the established curriculum

- Manage classroom dynamics to maintain a respectful and productive learning environment

- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support where needed

- Prepare and deliver assignments, quizzes, and labs in alignment with lesson plans

- Collaborate with school staff and administration for smooth lesson continuity

- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff as needed

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Education, or a related field

- Teaching certification is preferred but not required

- Previous teaching experience in Chemistry, ideally at the middle or high school level

- Strong knowledge of chemistry concepts and lab safety protocols

- Ability to engage students and adapt to various learning needs

- Excellent communication and organizational skills
