Asian Maritime Technological College (AMCOL) in Bangkok is seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Lecturer for a full-time position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching English across various programs such as Maritime, Tourism, and General English, focusing on communication, professional English, and academic development.
Responsibilities:
- Teach 25 units per week, including lectures, discussions, and communication activities.
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students of varying levels.
- Create lesson plans, assessments, and course materials.
- Support students in their English language development for academic, maritime, and professional purposes.
- Work collaboratively with other faculty members to enhance English-medium instruction across the college’s programs.
- Participate in faculty meetings, student advising, and other academic responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Required: A Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field, and a TOEIC score of 700+ or equivalent English proficiency certification. Strong English communication skills and a passion for teaching and student development are essential.
- Preferred: A Master’s degree in English, Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or a related discipline, along with teaching experience at the college or university level. A background in the maritime, cruise ship, tourism, or hospitality industries, and TESOL/TEFL certification, is advantageous.
