Victoria University English (VUE) are recruiting educators for in-person teaching at our partner universities in P.R. China. We are accepting applications from qualified English language instructors for classroom-based teaching at 3 locations in China: Shenyang – North-East China, Zhengzhou – Central China, ShaHe – Northern Suburb of Beijing.
The contract is for one-year (renewable) For 2026, semester commencing February
The package includes a competitive salary, either accommodation provided or an accommodation allowance, international flight reimbursement, insurance and assistance with the work visa process. Once in China, teachers receive ongoing support from VU English and the local university staff to make the transition as smooth as possible.
About VUE (www.vu.edu.au): We are part of Victoria University (Melbourne, Australia) and we recruit and manage language educators for partner universities in mainland China. The students are in their first and second year of university and they undertake an ELICOS English for Academic Purposes (EAP) preparatory program prior to entry into specialisation courses.
Salary:
4000 CNY - 5,500 CNY per week (depending on the location) of teaching during the semester
Qualifications:
Minimum of an undergraduate degree (completed in English) and a CELTA (or strong equivalent)
2 years teaching experience
Strong organisational skills, cultural awareness and flexibility, and ability to problem solve
