Job Description:

Korea Defense Language Institute (KDLI) is looking for 5 English Instructors in Icheon, Gyeonggi.

About KDLI:

KDLI is a language education and research division within the Joint Forces Military University in South Korea. It aims to equip the Korean military with communication skills, creativity, and critical thinking to adapt to the evolving global landscape. The institute teaches various foreign languages and is dedicated to teaching Korean to foreign servicemen from around 25 countries.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver English instruction that meets KDLI standards and learning objectives.

- Develop lesson plans using diverse teaching techniques to enhance students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and maintain accurate records.

- Adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs and maintain a productive classroom environment.

- Manage learning time effectively and oversee out-of-classroom activities as required.

Requirements:

- Non-Korean applicants need a bachelor's degree from an English-speaking country or in English language. Korean applicants require a master's degree and residency experience in an English-speaking country.

- Preference given to those with a master's degree, English teaching certificate, teaching experience, military background, and published articles.

Compensation:

- Instructors are paid 35,000 won per teaching hour with additional benefits for outstanding performance.

- Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 10:30 to 15:20 and Friday from 08:30 to 12:30.

- Housing options provided based on family status.

- Paid vacation, national pension, health insurance, and on-site facilities included.
