Native English-Speaking Teacher in Gwanggyo, Suwon
Gwanggyo SLP, a reputable academy in vibrant Gwanggyo, Suwon, South Korea, is seeking a dedicated native English-speaking teacher to join our team for the March 2026 session. The position involves delivering engaging ESL lessons to kindergarten and elementary students in a supportive and well-organized environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Gwanggyo, Suwon, South Korea
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:15 AM – 6:15 PM
- Start Date: March 2026
- Contract: 1-year, renewable based on performance
Responsibilities:
- Teach English to kindergarten and elementary students (grades 1–3)
- Plan and conduct lessons following the school's curriculum
- Create a positive classroom environment
- Assess student progress and prepare evaluations
- Communicate with parents about student performance
- Participate in staff meetings and school events
- Handle general academy-related tasks
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: Starting from 2.7 million KRW per month, negotiable based on experience
- Housing: Furnished housing or housing allowance provided
- Airfare: One-way airfare provided upon contract completion
- Health Insurance: National health insurance according to Korean law
- Additional Benefits: Pension and severance pay, as per Korean labor law
Ideal Candidate:
- Native English speaker from the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand
- Holds a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university
- Eligible for an E-2 teaching visa or holds a valid F-series visa
- Clean national-level criminal background check
- Enthusiastic about teaching young children
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
Visa and Work Permit Information:
- Citizenship from an approved English-speaking country
- Health check as required by Korean immigration
- Confirm current regulations with the Korean embassy or immigration office
