British Columbia International School Bangkok (BCISB) is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced Grade 2 IB PYP Homeroom Teacher to join our Elementary School team for the 2026–2027 academic year. BCISB is an IB World School that offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and is committed to providing engaging, inquiry-driven learning experiences that encourage students to become curious, confident, and internationally minded learners.
Role and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment and planning and delivering engaging learning experiences within the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). We are seeking an educator who values student agency, inquiry, conceptual understanding, collaboration, and the holistic development of students.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field with a recognized teaching qualification/license
- Experience teaching at the Elementary/Primary level
- Strong understanding of child-centered and inquiry-based teaching and learning
- Ability to build positive and supportive relationships with students
- Effective use of assessment to inform teaching and differentiate learning
- Collaborative work with colleagues in planning and reflecting on learning
- Professional and positive communication with parents and the wider school community
- Enthusiastic about contributing to school life beyond the classroom
- Adaptable, reflective, and committed to continued professional growth
Previous experience with the IB PYP is highly desirable, but educators with strong elementary experience and a willingness to learn and embrace the PYP are encouraged to apply.
