British Council Thailand in Bangkok is seeking Hourly Paid English Instructors to join our team starting mid-May 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching English to students
- Monitoring and supporting students' progress and performance
- Participating in course monitoring, evaluation, and development
- Engaging in professional development and performance management
- Supporting the broader objectives of the British Council
Position Details:
- Fixed-term, 1-year renewable contract
- Hourly paid role
- Weekend positions available at our teaching centers
- Weekday positions available at partner schools
- Teaching children is a requirement
Qualifications:
- A first degree and CELTA or equivalent
- Experience in Young Learner teaching
- Experience with Thai learners is preferred
- Open to both native and non-native English speakers
- Non-native speakers must demonstrate CEFR C2 level English proficiency
Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay starts at 631 THB per hour, with potential increases based on qualifications
- Taught hours are compensated at 1.5 times the hourly rate for preparation time
