PBISS International School in Koh Samui, Surat Thani, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Secondary English Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English Language and English Literature at KS3 and IGCSE levels, following the Cambridge International curriculum. The role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a love for literature, and preparing students for external assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver English Language and Literature courses at KS3 and IGCSE levels.
- Develop lesson plans tailored to a diverse, international student body.
- Promote high standards of English proficiency across the school.
- Prepare students for external exams with a focus on academic excellence.
- Encourage critical thinking, reading comprehension, and creative writing.
- Assess and report on student progress regularly.
- Maintain classroom discipline and a respectful learning environment.
- Participate in school activities and contribute to the English department’s curriculum development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, English Literature, Education, or related field.
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Experience teaching KS3 and IGCSE English or similar curricula.
- Familiarity with Cambridge Assessment International Education standards.
- Preferably experienced in an international or multilingual educational setting.
