Varee Chiangmai School is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated English Program Teachers for the 2026 academic year starting in May. We are located in Chiang Mai, near the city center, and offer a blend of Thai and International Curricula in a modern educational environment with well-equipped classrooms.
For this full-time position in our primary department, candidates must be willing to commit to a one-year term. We are looking for teachers who can effectively create and deliver engaging lessons within an integrated curriculum, with a preference for those experienced in project-based and active learning approaches. A successful demonstration lesson is a requirement for all applicants, regardless of qualifications.
We offer a competitive salary starting at 45,000 THB per month, with potential earnings up to 60,000 THB for teachers with over three years of experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes Allianz Medical Insurance (Plan 1), work permit and visa renewal costs covered by the school, nine weeks of paid holidays (excluding public holidays), and a diverse selection of free lunches from our food court.
Professional growth is a key focus at Varee Chiangmai School. Our Teacher Support System (TSS) aims to enhance both professional and financial development opportunities for our educators. Teachers pursuing additional credentials will receive support from the school, and salary increases upon completion of their studies.
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and a recognized Teaching Qualification from an accredited institution. We are only considering applications from native English speakers holding passports from the UK, Ireland, US, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand. Interested candidates should send their CV and cover letter to recruitment@varee.ac.th. While TEFL certificates are valued, they do not substitute for a professional teaching qualification.

Please mention that you found the job on Teast for the school's reference.
📌 Please review the requirements to teach English in Thailand before you start applying for teaching positions. If the job post specifies "NES" or "Native English Speaker", it typically means applicants are required to be from one of the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. However, in some cases, this may indicate a preference rather than a strict requirement.
⏳ Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.
⚠️ Watch out for agencies that charge fees or take a cut of your salary. Good agencies get paid by the schools - not by taking money from you. If you’re not sure how they make money, just ask. If they say they take a percentage, that’s a red flag - avoid them and let us know so we can ban them from the site. Unlike other job boards that allow these kinds of agencies to advertise at your expense, we don’t - we’ve already banned several to stop teachers from being underpaid or exploited.
⚠️ When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
