A Chance to Teach English in a Prestigious Private School
Are you a dedicated individual looking to contribute to a mission in a prestigious private school in Taipei? Huaxing High School and Elementary School are seeking enthusiastic teachers to join their team.
Located in a picturesque campus with a panoramic mountain view near the bustling Shilin district, Huaxing High School was established in 1969 on the foundation of an orphanage created in 1955 by Madame Chiang Kai-Shek for war orphans.
To enhance the school's appeal, the High School’s Foreign Language Center and elementary English Center were set up in the early 2000s. They provide English immersion and interaction opportunities to Grade 1 to Grade 12 students, focusing on building language skills, vocabulary, and engaging literature.
If you are a native English speaker with a Certified Teaching License, APRC/ARC, or Taiwan ID, teaching experience, and a Bachelor’s degree or higher, this opportunity might be for you.
Responsibilities include teaching EFL classes, working from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., coaching extracurriculars, and supervising competitions. The school offers competitive salaries, paid Taiwanese holidays, assistance in work permits and resident visa applications, health and labor insurance, and complimentary lunches.
To apply, please submit your CV, a recent professional photo, copies of degrees and certificates, and a reference letter. Short-listed candidates will be contacted for an interview and teaching demo.

📌 You need to be from one of the following counties to teach English in Taiwan: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa. However, some schools may still hire teachers who already have a long-term visa. This requirement only applies to teaching English - schools can still hire you for subjects other than English.
⏳ Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.
⚠️ When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
