International School Lighthouse International School in Ilsan is currently seeking experienced Math Teachers for the 2025-26 school year, as well as an SAT English Instructor for the Summer of 2025. Lighthouse International School (LIS) is a private Christian school in the Ilsan area. Qualifications:
Required:
- Must be a born-again Christian, dedicated to living a Biblical lifestyle
- Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Preferred:
- Ability to communicate proficiently in English and Korean
Duties and Responsibilities:
The hired teachers will be responsible for teaching assigned classes, working a 5-day week, delivering quality instruction, assessing student learning, maintaining records, participating in school activities, integrating Biblical principles, advising students, supervising extracurricular activities, and contributing to curriculum development.
Remuneration & Benefits:
- Monthly salary is negotiable
- Roundtrip airfare reimbursement (for overseas candidates)
- Health insurance and national pension benefits
- 20 days of paid vacation plus Korean national holidays
- Housing provided if required
- Eligibility for severance pay after completing a 1-year contract
Contract Period:
1-year contract with the possibility of renewal, starting in July or August 2025.

Lighthouse International School is also looking to hire an experienced SAT English Instructor for a 4-week course in July 2025. Candidates should have a solid background in SAT Reading and Writing instruction, with a track record of improving student scores. While a Christian educator is preferred, it is not mandatory. This short-term position is perfect for teachers who are data-driven, possess excellent communication skills, and are passionate about preparing students for college.
