Job Description:

Central International School in Bangkok is seeking a Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher for children aged 3 to 4 years. This is a full-time position starting in early January 2027, with a preference for candidates available to begin in early December 2026. We are specifically looking for Native English Speakers from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, USA, or the UK.

The successful candidate should be passionate, caring, and experienced in teaching young children. A solid background in early childhood education and a good grasp of play-based and ESL teaching methodologies are essential. The role involves creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for toddlers and young children.

The school follows the US California curriculum, with a teaching schedule of 22 units per week, each lasting 45-50 minutes. Working hours are from 8.00 AM to 4.00 PM, and class hours are from 9.00 AM to 3.00 PM, across two semesters per academic year.

The basic salary ranges from 50,000 to 60,000 THB per month, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include half-covered health insurance, free lunch meals, support for a Non-Immigrant Type "B" visa and work permit, a small class size of 20 students or below, 1 to 2 teaching assistants per class, air-conditioned classrooms with internet connection, paid holidays, and potential opportunities for earning extra income after-school.

Applicants must submit a CV or resume, passport photo page, bachelor's degree (or higher, preferably in early childhood or education), degree transcript, teaching-related certificates, recommendation or referral letters if available, evidence of early childhood teaching experience, and a non-criminal record if available. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an in-person interview.

📌 Please review the requirements to teach English in Thailand before you start applying for teaching positions. If the job post specifies "NES" or "Native English Speaker", it typically means applicants are required to be from one of the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. However, in some cases, this may indicate a preference rather than a strict requirement.

⏳ Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.

⚠️ Watch out for agencies that charge fees or take a cut of your salary. Good agencies get paid by the schools - not by taking money from you. If you’re not sure how they make money, just ask. If they say they take a percentage, that’s a red flag - avoid them and let us know so we can ban them from the site. Unlike other job boards that allow these kinds of agencies to advertise at your expense, we don’t - we’ve already banned several to stop teachers from being underpaid or exploited.

⚠️ When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
