Job Description:

Position: Math and Science Teacher

Location: Learn Satit Pattana School, Bangkok, Thailand

Salary: At least 60,000 THB per month, dependent on experience

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Math and Science Teacher to join our team at Learn Satit Pattana School. The ideal candidate will encourage high standards in all aspects of school life, especially in student progress, and contribute to the efficient running of the school while promoting a positive, professional school culture.

Responsibilities:

Overall Responsibilities:
- Maintain high standards in all school-related activities.
- Encourage consultation, review, and improvement.
- Support and motivate students, teachers, and other staff.

Teaching and Learning Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver well-structured lessons to meet the needs of all students.
- Foster an engaging classroom environment that encourages learning.
- Inspire students to achieve their full potential.
- Work with the Head of Department and Academic Support for students with special needs.
- Promote positive behavior and build strong relationships with students.
- Set appropriate homework and promote effective organization.
- Ensure punctuality and promote the use of English for academic progress.
- Provide constructive feedback to parents through meetings and reports.
- Assess and monitor student progress in line with department guidelines.

Departmental Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental meetings.
- Support professional dialogue and share teaching ideas.
- Engage with cross-curricular initiatives and professional development opportunities.
- Stay updated with educational developments.

Other Responsibilities:
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the Head of Department or Senior Leadership Team.

Qualifications:
- Degree and teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
- Teaching experience with a passion for educating the whole child.
- High level of professionalism and regard for children's well-being.
- Engagement in extracurricular activities.
- Respect for all school community members.
- Experience with students who are non-native English speakers.
- Positive and solution-focused approach.
- Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services or police check.

Desirable Qualifications:

Math:
- Clear presentation of mathematical concepts like algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.
- Effective communication with students, staff, and parents.
- Proficient use of technology for instruction and communication.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to handle workload.

Science:
- Proficiency in life and physical sciences including biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science.
- Design and implement lesson plans and experiments.
- Excellent communication and motivational skills.
- Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Incorporate technology in the classroom.
