About the Position KJC Hagwon, located in Gimhae, Korea, is looking for a new native English teacher to join our team. We currently have 8 teachers in total (including 1 native teacher). This is a great opportunity for teachers who enjoy working with elementary and middle school students in a supportive and professional environment.
Job Details Contract Start: February 2026 (after current teacher finishes in February) Teaching Hours: 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM Workload: 20 classes per week (you see each class once a week) Class Length: 45–50 minutes, speaking-focused lessons Age Range: Elementary – Middle school Prep Time: Daily and weekly prep time provided Curriculum: Books and materials provided (you may assign homework if needed).
Salary & Benefits Salary: 2.4 million KRW (no prior experience with children) 2.5 million KRW (with experience teaching children) 2.6 million KRW (upon contract renewal for experienced teachers) Vacation: 14 paid vacation days (includes 6 school vacation days + Labor Day) Sick Leave: 3 paid sick days (with a doctor’s note) Housing: Clean and comfortable housing provided Airfare: One-way economy class ticket provided (lowest weekday fare). If the teacher upgrades to business class, the additional cost is the teacher’s responsibility. Orientation: 1 day of orientation before starting classes (unpaid).
Requirements Native English speaker from the U.S., Canada, or U.K. Bachelor’s degree (4-year college) Apostilled degree Apostilled criminal background check (required before interview) 8 passport photos. Prefer applicants already in Korea or with documents ready.
Hiring Preference Teachers already in Korea are highly preferred. However, we are open to hiring from overseas (flight reimbursement included).
