Job Description:

Prasan Gateway International School, located in Chalong, Phuket, is seeking a dynamic and versatile teacher to join our team as a PE & ELL Teacher, starting January 6th. The successful candidate will initially take on both Physical Education and English Language Learner support roles for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. There is potential for these roles to be separated into two distinct positions in the following academic year.

We are looking for candidates who are fluent in English and hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a related field. A minimum of two years of teaching experience is required, with a preference for those with international school experience. While a recognized teaching qualification is an advantage, a passion for student-centered learning and growth is essential. The ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural and dynamic school environment is also important. Applications are welcome from both native and non-native English speakers.

Prasan Gateway International School offers a competitive salary with full work permit and visa sponsorship, as well as social security and health insurance in accordance with Thai labor laws. We provide ongoing professional development and internationally recognized training within a supportive, collaborative, and forward-thinking international school community.

Interested candidates should send their CV, cover letter, and teaching certifications to careers@pgisphuket.com. Join us at PGIS and contribute to a vibrant international learning environment where students can excel both academically and physically.

📌 Please review the requirements to teach English in Thailand before you start applying for teaching positions. If the job post specifies "NES" or "Native English Speaker", it typically means applicants are required to be from one of the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. However, in some cases, this may indicate a preference rather than a strict requirement.

⏳ Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.

⚠️ Watch out for agencies that charge fees or take a cut of your salary. Good agencies get paid by the schools - not by taking money from you. If you’re not sure how they make money, just ask. If they say they take a percentage, that’s a red flag - avoid them and let us know so we can ban them from the site. Unlike other job boards that allow these kinds of agencies to advertise at your expense, we don’t - we’ve already banned several to stop teachers from being underpaid or exploited.

⚠️ When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
