Physical Education (PE) Teacher Position at PBISS International School, Koh Samui
PBISS International School in Koh Samui, Surat Thani, is seeking a dedicated Secondary Physical Education (PE) Teacher. You will play a vital role in encouraging physical fitness and an active lifestyle among students by delivering engaging PE lessons and supporting their overall growth. We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field, and teaching experience in an international or multicultural school setting is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging PE lessons suitable for diverse student backgrounds.
- Teach various sports, emphasizing movement skills, strategy, and sportsmanship.
- Encourage teamwork, discipline, and respect through all activities.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive PE curriculum.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Educate students on physical fitness, nutrition, and personal wellbeing.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Ensure student safety and follow health and safety procedures.
- Organize and oversee extracurricular sports activities and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the school community.
- Participate in school events, meetings, professional development, and conferences.
- Uphold the school’s mission and values in all activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field.
- Teaching qualification or certification is preferred.
- Experience in teaching PE, ideally in an international school.
- Strong knowledge of sports, physical fitness, and wellness.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with diverse students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
