Looking for a female kindergarten teacher to come and teach in Buon Ma Thuot city, the capital of Daklak province.
WHO WE ARE
Nestled between Cambodia (west), Nha Trang (east), Dalat (south), and Pleiku (north), AMA (AMerican Academy) Buon Ma Thuot has been operating for 9 years and offers programs for preschool/kindergartners, kids, teens, and adults.
Our center has over 400 students, and we need a female kindergarten teacher to come and join our existing group of 4 foreign teachers to take on the delivery of kindergarten classes at our center. You can also get involved in other types of classes should you so wish.
AMA offers courses for preschoolers, kindergartners, kids and teens, IELTS students, and adults. Teachers are supported by at least 2 Vietnamese teachers for group classes (15 - 20 students maximum). Lesson plans are provided, and our foreign teachers focus mainly on sentence structure, broadening vocabulary, and improving the pronunciation of students.
We average 20 teaching hours a week (fluctuates seasonally), but can sometimes be as low as 12-14 hours a week. Summer holiday (June to September) is usually our busiest period, and hours can go up to 25 a week.
Classes at the language center are held mostly in the afternoon and early evenings during the school year, and all day on the weekend. In the summer there are morning, afternoon and early evening classes. Teachers typically work a 1 hour morning shift, 2 hour afternoon shift and 2 hour early evening shift.
Buon Ma Thuot (BMT) is a lovely rural capital with lots of natural beauty and sightseeing opportunities. There are lakes, waterfalls, caves, national parks, elephants, volcanoes, and more within easy reach of the city. Street markets are dotted throughout the town, and local ethnic minorities sell their fresh produce at the main outdoor market from the early hours of the morning. Neighboring provinces are easily accessible by bus or motorbike and the traffic police are very fair and friendly with foreigners.
BMT is the home of the Vietnamese coffee industry, and we are blessed with many beautiful indoor and outdoor cafes where you can enjoy a quiet cup, or 2.
Voted Vietnam’s greenest city, BMT enjoys year round mild weather with a long dry season and a relatively short wet season (3 months). The city has quickly developed from a sleepy rural capital into a bustling regional center due to the strong agriculture based economy (coffee, durian, avocado, pepper, etc).

📌 Please review the requirements to teach English in Vietnam before you start applying for teaching positions. If the job post specifies "NES" or "Native English Speaker", it typically means applicants are required to be from one of the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. However, in some cases, this may indicate a preference rather than a strict requirement.
⏳ Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.
⚠️ When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
