Job Description:

St. Catherine Kindergarten located in Pathum Thani is seeking a Head of English Program. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of at least 65,000 THB per month.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Academic Leadership:
- Lead the planning, implementation, and review of the Kindergarten English curriculum in adherence to school standards and Thai Ministry of Education guidelines.
- Incorporate Finnish education principles, such as play-based learning and holistic development, into English teaching practices.
- Ensure lessons are age-appropriate, engaging, and communication-focused.
- Integrate the English curriculum with other subjects and thematic learning.

2. Teacher Leadership and Development:
- Supervise and mentor both Thai and international Kindergarten English teachers.
- Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
- Encourage continuous professional development and reflective teaching practices.
- Support child-centered and inquiry-based teaching inspired by Finnish education.

3. Teaching and Learning Quality:
- Promote active learning through play, storytelling, songs, phonics, and hands-on activities.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment that supports emotional and social development.
- Encourage positive behavior guidance strategies.
- Support bilingual learning approaches for Thai students learning English.

4. Assessment and Reporting:
- Oversee developmentally appropriate assessments focusing on observation and formative assessments.
- Monitor student progress in English language and literacy skills.
- Guide teachers in preparing progress reports and effectively communicate with parents.

5. Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with school leadership and department heads to ensure consistency in the Kindergarten program.
- Communicate with parents while respecting Thai culture and values.
- Participate in school events and professional learning activities.

6. Administration and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with school policies and Thai education regulations.
- Manage English teaching resources and recommend Finnish-inspired materials.
- Support quality assurance and curriculum development initiatives.

7. Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of early childhood English language development.
- Knowledge of Finnish education principles and holistic assessment.
- Ability to work within Thai culture and school systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- Teaching qualification in Early Childhood or Primary Education.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of teaching experience in Kindergarten, preferably in an international or bilingual school.
- Understanding or experience with Finnish education approaches is highly desirable.
- Experience in a Thai or Southeast Asian educational context is an advantage.
