Join Si Ri Panya International School in Surat Thani as a KS3 & KS4 Science Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a distinctive British international school in Thailand. The position is full-time, with a monthly salary starting at THB 62,984. The successful candidate will have an appropriate degree and a UK PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification that provides Qualified Teaching Status (QTS).
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons, both in-person and online, with clear learning objectives and success criteria.
- Differentiating learning activities to cater to all students, including those with English as an Additional Language.
- Implementing the school's Teaching and Learning policies and UK Teaching Standards.
- Utilizing a variety of teaching methods, including new technologies, to enhance learning.
- Setting high behavioral expectations in line with the school's policy, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development and contributing to the school's weekly staff meetings and performance management.
- Providing cover work when necessary and ensuring resources are well-maintained.
Assessment & Reporting:
- Adhering to the school's Marking Policy and using assessment data to inform lesson planning.
- Maintaining pupil records and communicating with management about students needing extra support.
- Participating in bi-annual parents’ evenings and preparing termly pupil progress reports.
Pastoral Care:
- Offering guidance on educational and social matters, fostering positive relationships, and ensuring smooth transitions for new students.
- Promoting a positive international community and adhering to the student safeguarding policy.
Extra-Curricular Activities:
- Leading at least one after-school activity and assisting with sports, plays, and trips.
General Duties:
- Attending meetings, events, and fulfilling supervision duties.
- Setting a good example in dress, punctuality, and behavior, contributing positively to the school community and maintaining health and safety standards.
