Physical Education Teacher Position at PBISS International School
PBISS International School, located in the beautiful Koh Samui, Surat Thani, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our team immediately. This full-time role offers a competitive salary starting at ฿62,000 per month.
As a PE Teacher, you will be instrumental in encouraging our students to lead active, healthy lifestyles. You will deliver engaging PE lessons, teach various sports and activities, and promote teamwork and sportsmanship. You will also be responsible for developing the PE curriculum, supporting students' growth, and collaborating with a diverse school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver age-appropriate and culturally sensitive PE lessons.
- Teach a wide range of sports and physical activities, emphasizing movement skills, strategies, and fair play.
- Encourage teamwork, discipline, and respect in all activities.
- Implement a progressive PE curriculum using diverse teaching methods.
- Adapt strategies to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
- Educate students on physical fitness, nutrition, and personal well-being.
- Assess and monitor progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Ensure safety during PE activities and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular sports activities and events.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the school community.
- Participate in school events and professional development.
General Duties:
- Support school policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe learning environment.
- Undertake additional duties as required by management.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field.
- Teaching qualification or certification preferred.
- Experience in international or multicultural settings is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of sports and wellness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational and time-management skills.
- Commitment to professional development.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
