Job Description:

NIVA American International School in Bangkok is seeking qualified and experienced teachers for immediate positions in Secondary English Language Arts (ELA), Social Studies, Math, and Science. These roles are needed due to increased enrollment, and candidates who can teach multiple subjects are preferred.

NIVA is a WASC-accredited school offering an American curriculum from Nursery to Grade 12, with a focus on academic rigor and child safeguarding. The school is located in the Lat Phrao/Bang Kapi area of Bangkok.

Requirements:
- Proficiency in American English is a must, with effective communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Minimum of two years of full-time teaching experience, preferably within American curriculum schools.
- Strong understanding of Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and skills in MAP/NWEA data analysis to improve student learning.
- A degree in education is required, with a valid teaching license preferred. Candidates with non-education degrees must commit to obtaining a Thai or International teaching qualification and a Thai Teaching License.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary starting from 60,000 THB per month, based on credentials and experience.
- 8-10 weeks of paid holiday annually.
- Medical insurance and a provident fund for retirement.

Professional Expectations:
- Approximately 24 teaching periods per week, each lasting 45 minutes.
- Responsibilities include homeroom duties, supervision, and classroom management.
- Attendance at all meetings and school functions is required.

Mandatory Screening:
- Candidates must provide contact details for three professional referees, including the current Head of School/Principal.
- A teaching demonstration may be required.
- Rigorous background checks will be conducted in line with the school's commitment to child safeguarding.
