Position Summary:
The Kindergarten Teacher at Japanese International School of Phnom Penh plays a vital role in nurturing and educating young children during their early learning years. Responsibilities include planning and delivering creative, age-appropriate educational activities that foster social, emotional, and intellectual growth.
Expectations - Duties and Responsibilities:
- Observing and assessing children's progress, documenting milestones and areas for improvement.
- Adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
- Organizing and maintaining an engaging learning space with educational materials and resources.
- Encouraging and modeling appropriate social behavior to foster a cooperative atmosphere.
- Maintaining regular communication with parents/guardians about children's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborating with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational program.
- Participating in continuous learning and training to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
- Addressing the unique needs of each child to ensure inclusivity and respect for diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Prior experience with young children, preferably in a nursery or preschool setting, and experience in creating and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, creativity, patience, enthusiasm for teaching young learners, organizational skills, and the ability to manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment.
