Job Description:

Panyadee – The British International School of Samui (PBISS) is seeking a dedicated and qualified Secondary Business Studies/Economics Teacher to join our Secondary team. This full-time position offers a salary of at least ฿62,000 per month and is set to commence on 25 August 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Business Studies and Economics to students from Year 9 through IGCSE and A-Level, while contributing to a dynamic and results-oriented educational environment.

Located on the beautiful island of Koh Samui, Thailand, this role provides a unique opportunity to live and work in an iconic location. We seek a teacher who holds a recognized teaching qualification and has a passion for Business Studies and Economics. Experience in teaching IGCSE and/or A-Level is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to diverse student abilities and year groups.
- Support curriculum development and implement academic interventions as needed.
- Assess and report on student progress in accordance with school policies.
- Actively engage in co-curricular programs and enrichment activities.
- Participate in parent meetings and school events.
- Promote student wellbeing and safeguarding.
- Engage in professional learning and development with support from school leadership.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent).
- Strong subject knowledge in Business Studies/Economics.
- Experience with IGCSE and/or A-Level curriculum (preferred).
- Enthusiasm for holistic education and student wellbeing.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Collaborative approach to teaching and a willingness to share best practices.
- Flexibility, motivation, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth.
- Proficiency in ICT and a willingness to integrate technology into teaching.
- Respect for confidentiality and intellectual property of colleagues and the school.
