Job Description:
D.CAMPS is a one-week STEM camp that has been open to students every winter and summer break since the summer of 2018 in South Korea (will last for two weeks) D.CAMPS has been recognized as one of the best and biggest English STEM camps (K-6) in Korea by parents, teachers, and schools. The purpose of this camp is to offer unique, innovative, and powerfully creative learning experiences for young students who are interested in STEM and other creative activities!
We are looking for teachers who are passionate about STEM subjects, love teaching elementary students, and have teaching experience with native English skills. Also, we need teachers who are flexible and can think on their feet. This is not an English language camp! Our curriculum is STEM-based and would love to hire teachers who majored in STEM, STEM-related academic subjects, education, or medical sciences.

Homeroom Teacher
Responsibilities
● Effective Classroom teaching and strong classroom management skills.
● Communicate with parents and students, in both English and Korean
● Create friendly, fun, pleasant environments where students enjoy learning with the STEM curriculum.
● Prepare teaching materials on a daily basis and engage students in the classroom and outside.
● Implement and run daily academic and STEM activities.
● Monitor students and provide reports and evaluations (Daily)
● Provide assessments and evaluations regarding general student camp experiences as well as management experiences at the end of camp.
● Other duties will be required as needed.
Compensation
● Winter D.CAMPS 2024 is a week-long program and last for two weeks, possibly with additional three days for a selected group of students.
● Daily programs at D.CAMPS are scheduled between 8 am to 4 pm. Monday-Friday during the session. One-hour lunch break between 12 pm to 1 pm.
● Weekly Rate: ₩900,000 per week. ₩1,800,000 for two weeks. Total of 13 days (10 camp days & 3 days of training and orientation included), Lunch Included.
Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree or above (STEM/Education/computer major preferred)
● English native speaker or fluent speaker
● Proficiency in Korean language
● Have experience teaching a group of 15+ students.
● Strong interpersonal skills and flexible
● January 8 – 19, 2024 (+3 days for pre-meeting)
○ Be available for different Campus locations: Seoul National University and Daewon International Middle School
Teaching Assistant (TA)
Responsibilities
● Ride with students on shuttle bus (transportation support).
● Support and assist the main instructor.
● Communicate with parents and students in Korean (daily logs, pictures)
● Monitor students and provide reports and evaluations with the Homeroom teacher. (Weekly, Daily)
● Provide assessments and evaluations on the general student camp experience to management at the end of camp.
● Assist with 30-minute student interviews in English.
● Other duties will be required as needed.
Compensation
● Winter D.CAMPS 2024 is a week-long program and last for two weeks, possibly with additional three days for a selected group of students.
