Job Description:

-DOE) Full Time Debate Teacher for Unique Academy-March 2025
Saijik-do, Busan S. Korea
Posted by: Leaders Academy-Busan
Contact: the11thsign711@gmail.com

The Saijik-Busan branch of Leaders Academy Busan is looking for an enthusiastic new team member to join their elite faculty.
Maintaining our long-term faculty members is vital for our children's success, our parents' satisfaction, and our institution's reputation. Our specialist academy requires a committed, long-standing educator.

Our remuneration is competitive, especially considering the reduced hours put in each month. Compared to a typical academy, which requires 160 hours per month at a lesser income, our academy only requires 100 to 120 hours per month. Here, you can work fewer hours for a competitive salary. People who are dependable, trustworthy, and hardworking deserve rewards, in our opinion.
Our Story:
Our school targets students dedicated to academic and personal growth. We foster a fun, team-oriented environment through monthly dinners and brainstorming sessions. Our structured curriculum invites your creative enhancement. A friendly, outgoing, and dynamic married couple from Korea and the United States runs the school. Success awaits the imaginative, passionate, hardworking, and devoted.
Regarding the learners:
Our students' abilities span from very basic (first grade level) to advanced (middle to high school level). Like their peers, they are acquiring new skills, and repetition is key. They understand concepts swiftly, engage actively, and sometimes need motivation.
Who are you? (New Teacher Prospect)
The new prospect must have extensive experience in debate instruction as a basic qualification, with additional training available. However, a Debate Coach with competitive experience is highly preferred.
A CELTA Certificate or TEFL with 120 hours that meet the E-2 Visa requirements.
Your technical expertise is vast, and you're not hesitant to share it! It's essential to be passionate about what you teach and eager to share that enthusiasm with your students.
After all, if the teacher isn't enjoying the process, how can the students enjoy learning? Are you capable of adapting to different roles and teaching various English genres?
Are you prepared to take on a challenge and commit to the continuous improvement of your teaching abilities?
If your response is, "Yes, I am capable!" then we would be delighted to have a conversation with you!

Maintain an open mind, for as the academy expands, new opportunities will arise that may assist you in reaching your long-term goals. Dependability, honesty, loyalty, effective communication, and daily dedication are the foundational pillars of success in any profession.
Discussing our current job openings, we give priority to candidates who are already in Korea, possess F-Visas, and are native English speakers due to our distinctive requirements.
Outside Korea, the USA, Canada, and the UK are preferred destinations. Due to immigration processing requirements, all documents should be prepared in advance.

Please mention that you found the job on Teast for the school's reference.

You need to be from one of the following counties to teach English in South Korea: USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa. If you are not from one of those countries, you can still teach English in most other countries. This requirement is specific to South Korea and school's can only issue visa's to teachers from those listed countries.

Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.

When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
