Job Description:
Full-time English teachers
Needed in Korean International School in Yantai, China
Position: 1 Full-time English Teacher (Elementary School)
Eligibility:
- Be a citizen of a country where English is the first language based on visa eligibility of Yantai Immigration law (USA, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, England)
- Hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Have at least 2 years of experience as a full-time English teacher
Salary Offered(before tax):
- Basic Salary : 14,000RMB per month
- Housing: 3,000RMB for 1~2 family members, 3,500RMB for more than 3 family members
- Either 500RMB for teaching certification or 300RMB for TESOL or TEFL(over 60hrs) etc
- Completion bonus : Equivalent to one month’s basic salary
- Experience and qualification Bonus: Up to 500 RMB added to the basic salary based on school scale
- Yearly incentive bonus based on performance
- One-way flight ticket(economy) for applicants from overseas
- Free school lunch and commuter bus service from a designated location
- Salary may increase next year depending on the school board’s opinion
- Paid during summer and winter break

Position Description:
Contract Period: September 1, 2024~February 28, 2026(Teachers may renew their contract
with a mutual written agreement.)
Working Days: Monday-Friday (working regulation is equally applied to Korean and foreign
teachers during Summer vacation (about 30 days) and winter vacation
(about 50 days).
Teaching Hours: 20 teaching hours a week, one teaching hour is 40 minutes (Elementary)
Working Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
l Prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
l Observe and evaluate student performance and development
l Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary system of the school
l Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, and extra English activities
l Participate in department and parent meetings
l Cooperate with fellow teachers, assistants, and other professionals
l Willing to participate in after-school classes (held within school hours, 2~4 times a week with additional pay)
Description of position:
The native English teachers are given a set of books for the class to teach speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. They teach several different grades with conversation typically to lower levels and immersion to higher levels. Teachers correct student essays and help each other to make various presentations such as speech presentation, song & storytelling presentation and so on. Teachers will have a small class less than 16 students who have the similar English skills.
School Background
Korean School in Yantai has been an established school since 2001 and is authorized by both Korean and Chinese governments. There are roughly 270 students ranging from 1st grade to 12th grade with around 70 staff members within the school.
