Gangnam English Academy is currently looking for dedicated teachers to join our team in Apgujeong, Seoul, Korea.
Position Available: Kindergarten Homeroom/Afterschool Teacher
Location: Sinsa Dong 649-1
Salary: Starting at 3.7 million KRW per month
About Us:
Established in 2013 by an American and Swedish couple, Gangnam English Academy offers a dynamic and engaging environment for both teachers and students. Our curriculum focuses on speaking, writing, science, literature, and debate, incorporating games and activities to make learning enjoyable. Currently, we have a team of 25 Native English Teachers and 40 bilingual Korean Teachers, fostering a collaborative workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Teachers will oversee a kindergarten classroom, working with 5, 6, or 7-year-old students from 9:00-2:45 daily, with a one-hour lunch break.
- In the afternoon, teachers will conduct afterschool classes for kindergarten and elementary students from 2:45-4:45, followed by planning time until 5:30.
Special Class Teachers (Science, Music and Drama, Gym, Art) will teach special classes for each kindergarten group and provide substitute teaching when needed. They will follow a similar schedule to homeroom teachers.
Requirements:
- Experience in teaching children
- Fluent, native English speaker
- Passion for working with kids, positive attitude, and flexibility
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to engage children effectively
- Enthusiastic, fun, and kind personality
Compensation:
- Starting salary of 3,600,000 KRW per month, with options for different schedules
- Additional 100,000 KRW monthly bonus for job-related tasks completion
- Housing options with up to 10,000,000 KRW key money provided; rent deducted from salary based on chosen apartment
