Prestige, the foreign-teacher led branch of our academy in Gwangju, is seeking an experienced English teacher to enhance our teaching team. The position aims to add new classes for the upcoming March session, specifically targeting 2nd-grade students. The ideal candidate should already be in Korea with prior experience teaching English to Korean students in an EFL setting.
Our academy focuses on promoting high levels of fluency among our students, who are English kinder graduates. We offer foreign-teacher exclusive classes to achieve this goal.
The schedule for this position prioritizes a healthy work-life balance, distinguishing it from typical academy or public school roles. This allows the successful candidate to deliver the best education to our students.
Requirements:
- Native English speaker from the USA, Canada, U.K., New Zealand, South Africa, or Australia.
- Currently residing in Korea with previous teaching experience.
Key Details:
- Start date: Early February (flexible for outstanding candidates)
- Salary: 2.5 Million Korean Won
- Working Hours: Mon to Thu, 12:30pm - 7:30pm
- Maximum of 8 students per class, from Elementary 2nd to 4th grade
- Paid Vacation: 10 days (excluding weekends and holidays)
- Housing: Fully-furnished single housing or a monthly stipend
- Distance from school: 5-10 minutes on foot
- Severance: One-month salary bonus upon contract completion
- Medical Insurance: 50% premium support and pension
- No desk-warming on Fridays, no weekend classes or events
