Job Description:

Hiring 2 English teachers for March 2025. Check us out on Instagram @Altiora_Misa

Located in the suburbs of Seoul (in Hanam City / Misa, in Gyeongi), we are a school that would like to hire teachers that are supportive and enjoy being part of a tight-knit team, with both the foreign teachers and the Korean staff. We can provide teacher references (if you'd like to ask current teachers about the work environment, organizational culture, etc.). We pay our teachers as much as we can afford to because our English teachers are the #1 reason why our school is so popular and respected by kids and parents alike 🙏

Competitive pay and benefits (negotiable higher up to 2.9m won for those with experience or a unique skill), housing, health insurance, retirement benefits (1 month for every year worked plus National Pension Service contributions), paid vacation days, etc. Also, if you need to take a special trip above and beyond your paid vacation days, we've worked with teachers who've taken unpaid leaves for a trip overseas, etc.

Work Hours: 8:45am to 5:45pm. Maximum 30 teaching hours per week. You do get a lunch break (our foreign teachers don't eat with the kids). The qualities we are looking for are that you just be yourself, embrace your creativity and silly side, and enjoy teaching and working with young children. We want our students to see that learning English can be a fun journey because it opens the door to learning more about the world around them, and about other cultures and perspectives. If you know how to make learning enjoyable and engaging, we'd love to have a conversation with you. Safety is #1, and then helping kids discover their natural curiosity and innate love for learning is next.

Please mention that you found the job on Teast for the school's reference.

You need to be from one of the following counties to teach English in South Korea: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa. If you are not from one of those countries, you can still teach English in most other countries. This requirement is specific to South Korea and school's can only issue visa's to teachers from those listed countries.

Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.

When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
