《Afternoon Teaching Job near Taipei Arena》
Starting date: February 10th, 2025
Normal semester working hours: 19 hours/week
Monday: 13:00-14:00 Weekly Meeting, 14:00-16:00 Teaching, 16:30-18:30 Teaching
Wednesday: 14:00-16:00 Teaching, 16:30-18:30 Teaching
Thursday: 14:00-16:00 Teaching, 16:30-18:30 Teaching
Friday: 14:00-16:00 Teaching, 16:30-18:30 Teaching
+ 2 hours of paid preparation time.
Student Age: 7~12
6 to 15 students per class.
Lesson plans and teaching materials provided.
Location: Songshan District, Taipei City
5-minute-walk from MRT Green Line / Taipei Arena station or 10-minute-walk from MRT Brown Line / Nanjing Fuhsing station
Hourly pay: NT$700+ (depending on experience)
Qualification:
1. Native English speaker with a Bachelor degree
2. At least 2 years of teaching experience
3. In-person interview required
4. APRC holders are preferable
Wee Care is an English school for students age 7 to 12. It's a unique school with a positive atmosphere. We do fun activities with our students, such as science theme lessons, news discussions, dramatic plays, cooking classes, arts and crafts, presentations…etc. The boss and colleagues are all warm and kind people. Our PTA activities are dinner parties with our students and their parents or an exciting T-ball game on a Sunday morning. We strive to create an environment where everyone, students and teachers, can be happy every day. We encourage the students to participate and have fun in class. The students are sweet, polite and responsible. We generally don’t have any discipline problems. If we do, we handle them in a positive and patient manner.
We hope to find a happy, honest, kind and stable teacher with at least 2 years of teaching experience, someone who really cares about kids, someone who can be fun in the classroom and always tries to inspire the students to be creative, someone who loves Taiwan and plans to stay for several years here. A theater background would be a plus since we have drama productions and classes every semester. The foreign teacher writes the play which is performed in a theater at the end of the semester for the parents.
We will require an interview and a short teaching demo with our students prior to hiring.
