Job Position: Primary Art Teacher
KK International School (KKIS) in Mae Sot, Thailand, is seeking a dedicated Primary Art Teacher for an immediate start. We offer a full-time position teaching art to primary students using the British Curriculum. Our school is located near the Thai–Myanmar border and caters to a diverse community, including Thai and Burmese families. KKIS is expanding its primary programme and developing a new school campus, providing a unique opportunity for teachers to grow their careers in an international school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate art lessons for primary students.
2. Introduce students to fundamental art techniques and materials.
3. Foster creativity and confidence in students' artistic expression.
4. Support interdisciplinary learning by connecting art with subjects like history and culture.
5. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and organized classroom environment.
6. Monitor and evaluate student progress, keeping records and sharing feedback with students and parents.
7. Manage art materials and equipment, ensuring proper care and replenishment.
8. Collaborate with colleagues on school projects and events.
9. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school activities.
10. Uphold school policies on child protection, health, and safety.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Art, Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field.
- Preferred experience in teaching primary or early years art; however, new teachers with strong potential are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with art materials, techniques, and creative activities for children.
- Capable of managing a classroom and engaging young learners.
- Willing to adapt to the British Curriculum.
- Basic computer skills, including Google Drive.
- Police background check and two references required.
