Job Description:

PBISS International School, located on the picturesque island of Koh Samui in Surat Thani, Thailand, is seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary Chemistry Teacher. This full-time position offers a competitive salary starting at ฿62,000 per month.

As a Secondary Chemistry Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging IGCSE and A-Level Chemistry courses, fostering a positive learning environment, and contributing to the school community. Teaching A-Level Biology in addition to Chemistry would be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Chemistry lessons according to Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level curriculum standards.
- Utilize diverse instructional strategies to cater to students' varied learning needs.
- Design practicals and laboratory experiences that enhance theoretical understanding.
- Prepare students for external examinations to ensure strong academic performance.
- Regularly monitor and report on student progress.
- Offer academic guidance and support to students.
- Collaborate with science department colleagues and other teaching staff.
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, extracurricular activities, and school trips.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement.
- Uphold high professional and ethical standards.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or a related field.
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Experience teaching IGCSE and A-Level Chemistry is essential.
- Familiarity with Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) standards.
- Experience in international schools or multicultural environments is preferred.
- Ability to teach A-Level Biology is advantageous.
- Strong laboratory safety and classroom management skills are essential.
